Chris Annibell is an artist, musician, DJ, electronic music educator, and multimedia technologist with a passion for connecting people through music, and a commitment to diversity and representation through education and community building. He has collaborated with like-minded artists on stage, in the studio, in the DJ booth, and on the dance floor.
He is an Assistant Professor of Song Writing & Production at Berklee NYC, and an Assistant Professor of Music Technology, Entrepreneurship & Production at Roc Nation School of Music at Long Island University, Brooklyn. He's an instructor at Berklee Online, and an education consultant – providing services to professional artists, music companies, independent artists, and special needs clients.
Over the course of his career, Annibell has produced, remixed, and performed with a wide array of music luminaries, including Kenny "Dope" Gonzales (Masters at Work), Rich Medina, Gilles Peterson, Zap Mama, Erykah Badu, Victor Wooten, Ursula Rucker, Bonobo, Thievery Corporation, Tony Touch, Casey Benjamin (Heavy, Robert Glasper Experiment), Bernie Worrell (Parliament-Funkadelic), Alice Smith, and Nova Lima.
He is the founding member of Afrokinetic, a NYC-based club night and DJ collective currently in residency at Basquiat's Bottle in Brooklyn – and stays active both performing and producing events in NYC, at various venues including Jupiter Disco, TBA, Sultan Room, Nublu, and Le Bain.
